Paul Wood and Mary Winget met at a basketball game at Shelbina High School. Three years later, March 11, 1950, they were united in marriage at the Baptist parsonage by Rev. Glenn Irons.
After a short honeymoon, they made their home on a farm three miles east of Maud where they resided for 48 years.
